Durango School District is accepting applications for an Assistant Track Coach at Escalante Middle School. This coaching position includes instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of track. The 26/27 Middle School Track season runs March 2027 - May 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of track
- Ability to build rapport with middle school students
- Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
- Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Ability to work positively with coaches, staff, and administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
- CPR/1st Aid
