Responsibilities

You will navigate into our rotational assignments in:

- Engineering:

You will join an experienced regional engineering team leading the CAPEX process in the EMEA region (30 Avient manufacturing sites). This includes project planning, approval, budgeting, execution and financial follow-up. You will gain hands-on experience in project management, design development and validation of new equipment solutions (with high focus in automation and digitalization) and assist with technical requests.

This includes working closely with internal stakeholders (engineering team and site staff) and suppliers.

- Other key functions:

The regional team also coordinates key strategic maintenance initiatives such as the standardization of the new CMMS or the critical spare parts management.



You will support the process by developing data management solutions for streamlining the process in all the manufacturing sites.

During the program you will gain broad exposure across other key parts of the business. This may include a short placement within Production and Technology. You will also get to know plant management, EH&S; and Finance.

- Engineering abroad:

The program will include visits to manufacturing sites and to equipment suppliers abroad. It provides valuable hands-on experience with different processes, technologies and ways of working while encouraging cultural and cross-functional understanding. The insights and best practices gained can then be transferred back enabling participants in the program to add value in their future roles.

Program locations: The program starts in St Andreu, Barcelona, continues in Vic, Barcelona, and includes time at one of Avient's locations abroad.

The program ends in St Andreu, Barcelona, and the future position after successfully completing the program is in St Andreu, Barcelona.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience including internship, university projects or student assignments.
- Previous exposure to PLC programming and automation integration is considered a strong advantage.
- A strong desire to learn, grow and make a meaningful impact within the polymer and chemical industry.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- Good active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Valid EU Category B driving license.
