Roles and Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring leaders throughout the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with established recruitment procedures.
- Oversee the recruitment workflows to ensure that hiring leaders follow established recruitment guidelines and standard procedures
- Prepare and publish job advertisements across internal and external channels.
- Draft and issue formal offer letters and manage follow-ups.
- Maintain a pool of qualified candidates for short-term and substitute-cover needs.
- Coordinate with the HR Coordinator to ensure smooth and effective onboarding.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of recruitment and candidate-screening processes.
Employee Relations
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, actively listening and developing appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate measures, procedures, and training related to employee health, occupational safety, prevention, and workplace risk management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and legal documentation, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
Salary and Benefits
- Monitor the administration and application of employee salary and benefits programmes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Maintain and update the remuneration database.
- Provide the Finance Director with accurate staff information, including changes arising from new hires, promotions, contract amendments, and salary adjustments.
- Coordinate with the HR Coordinator to ensure accurate payroll and HR records.
Professional Development and Compliance Training
- Lead and coordinate mandatory staff compliance training, particularly Health and Safety and risk prevention.
- Stay updated on mandatory training requirements and maintain accurate attendance and compliance records.
- Coordinate training sessions and ensure required documentation is processed through Fundae and remains audit-ready.
- Support managers with staff development programmes and the appraisal process, ensuring timely completion in accordance with policy.
HR Management
- Monitors changes in labor regulations to proactively update, refine, and enforce internal policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring the company strictly complies with all employment laws. Particularly, Faculty Handbook revisions.
- Liaise with the school’s payroll agency on personnel matters and labour-law compliance.
- Chair the Risk Committee and oversee the Prevention Plan, acting as the main contact with the Prevention company.
- Follow up on the Equality Plan and action plan, including preparation of the annual Equal Pay Register.
- Source and manage recruitment outsourcing partners.
- Provide administrative support for executive survey evaluation and feedback processes.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Labour Relations or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of HR experience.
- Advanced Spanish and intermediate English; Catalan is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Working knowledge of Excel; HR ERP experience is an advantage.
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
