Site Manager – Solar PV Projects (FPV) Project construction site (Navarra, Spain) Construction Project Manager Full-time The Site Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising on-site construction activities for a solar PV plant (FPV). The role ensures that work is executed according to schedule, quality standards, and legal, safety and environmental requirements.
The Site
Manager acts as the main point of contact between the company, contractors, subcontractors and the client, ensuring all field activities are executed as planned.
Site Construction Management
Supervise and coordinate daily on-site construction activities, ensuring progress according to the master schedule. Coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers. Supervise civil, mechanical and electrical works, resolving field issues in real time.
Track daily progress and report to the Project Manager. Ensure all site activities comply with local construction, safety and environmental regulations. Schedule & Cost Control Track project milestones and implement corrective actions to prevent delays.
Monitor construction costs within the allocated budget. Support the Project Manager in measurement and certification processes. Team & Subcontractor Management Lead and coordinate on-site work teams (company and subcontractor staff).
Supervise subcontractor performance on schedule, quality and safety. Participate in selection and hiring of temporary personnel or additional subcontractors. Conduct alignment meetings with each subcontractor before work begins.
Maintain constant communication with project stakeholders. Prepare and deliver periodic project progress reports.
Quality & Testing Supervise installation of all PV system components to quality standards.
Coordinate functionality and performance testing of installed systems. Ensure proper quality documentation (inspection reports, material certificates, test protocols). Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy or similar).
No Master's degree or postgraduate required. PRL training (basic or higher) is a plus. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction of PV plants, substations or renewable energy projects.
Experience supervising electromechanical assembly works (structures, cabling, inverters, etc.). Demonstrable experience coordinating subcontractors and managing field teams.
Experience with electrical substations and high-voltage lines is a plus. Knowledge of PV systems and components (panels, inverters, structures, cabling, monitoring). Basic knowledge of electrical substations and protection/control systems.
Familiarity with local and international construction, environmental and safety regulations. Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.). Spanish – Native. English – B2 level valued, especially for international teams and technical documentation.
Construction Project
Manager, Site HSEQ Supervisor, Engineering Office, Procurement, Quality Subcontractors (Site Foremen, Supervisors), Client, Suppliers, Regulatory Authorities Project duration: Approx. Candidates with proximity to the project location will be positively valued , though candidates from other regions with relocation or travel availability will also be considered. Senior/executive profiles are not required.
