Company Description EigenCarbon is a tokenized carbon credit platform that creates verifiable, fungible carbon assets designed to integrate with institutional finance. Each EigenCarbon (EC) token represents 1kg of measured CO₂ abatement for a specific vintage year, leveraging Ethereum to ensure transparency, traceability, and 24/7 general tradability. The project combines on-chain infrastructure with rigorous off-chain verification to support high-integrity climate action and align with ESG and net-zero goals.

EC tokens reward Indigenous communities and land stewards who protect ecosystems and are tradeable on Uniswap for deep liquidity and clear market pricing. EigenCarbon is building additional tools such as roll contracts for corporates and traders, aiming to scale responsible, regenerative finance.

Role Description As Market Research Director at EigenCarbon, you will lead research initiatives that inform product strategy, token design, and market positioning in the carbon and regenerative finance ecosystem. This contract, remote role involves designing and overseeing quantitative and qualitative market studies, segmenting institutional and retail user groups, and mapping demand for tokenized carbon products. You will analyze market trends in carbon credits, ESG investing, and on-chain finance, synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations, and present findings to leadership and product teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building research frameworks, collaborating with data and product stakeholders, evaluating competitor offerings,



and identifying new opportunities for growth and partnerships. You will also help establish best practices for ongoing market intelligence to support EigenCarbon’s long-term roadmap.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Research skills, with experience in climate, ESG, financial markets, or web3 preferred.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Research Design, including survey design, sampling methodologies, interviews, and mixed-method approaches.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D;), particularly in developing and testing new financial or carbon-related products and frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience directing research programs or teams, ideally in finance, sustainability, or technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced, and highly collaborative startup environment; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Relevant academic background in economics, data science, environmental science, business, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage but not required.
- Familiarity with Ethereum, tokenized assets, carbon markets, and ESG frameworks is highly beneficial.
