Role Description The Network Technician role at BaryTech is a contract, on-site position based in Madrid.

The Network

Technician will install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, cabling, and wireless devices.

Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, identifying issues, and performing troubleshooting to ensure stable and secure connectivity for users and systems. The role involves providing technical support for network-related incidents, collaborating with senior engineers on upgrades and changes, and documenting configurations,



procedures, and incident resolutions.

The Network

Technician will also assist in implementing network security measures and adhering to BaryTech’s standards and best practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Administration and Network Infrastructure, including configuring and maintaining routers, switches, and LAN/WAN environments.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills, with experience diagnosing connectivity issues and resolving user-reported network problems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Network Security, including basic firewall concepts, access control, and secure configuration practices.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking standards are beneficial.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Experience working in corporate or data center environments and with ticketing/monitoring tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Zabbix, Nagios) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams in Madrid.
- Vocational training or a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
