Experience: 8+ Years of Product Management Experience
We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to join our Life Sciences R&D; team and help drive the digital transformation of a leading global pharmaceutical company.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with strategic product thinking and enjoys working with scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to build platforms that accelerate research and innovation.
You'll own strategic platform products or a portfolio of established applications, shaping product roadmaps, driving discovery, and delivering measurable business value across Chemistry, Biology, and Computational Science.
What you'll do
Lead product strategy
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and delivery for strategic R&D; platform products.
- Drive continuous discovery and innovation, focusing on new capabilities that accelerate scientific research.
- Manage large strategic initiatives or portfolios of 5 to 10 applications, including modernization, optimization, and retirement planning.
- Validate product success through user feedback, business metrics,
and experimentation.
Drive product delivery
- Translate complex scientific and technical requirements into clear product plans and user stories.
- Prioritize and manage backlogs using Jira, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery.
- Partner closely with engineering and project management teams to balance priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Support UAT, release planning, and successful product launches.
Partner with stakeholders
- Act as the primary product contact for researchers, scientists, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Lead discovery sessions, user interviews, and requirements workshops.
- Present product updates and strategy to leadership and governance groups.
- Build strong relationships across client teams and external partners.
Bring technical expertise
- Work closely with software engineers, data engineers, and architects to design scalable platform solutions.
- Understand APIs, cloud platforms, system integrations, and data flows.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform, including services such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Workflows.
- Support platform strategy across authentication, compliance, infrastructure, and enterprise data ecosystems.
Drive AI powered product management
- Leverage AI tools such as Gemini Pro and Atlassian AI to improve prioritization, forecasting, and product insights.
- Partner with client teams to develop production ready AI use cases.
- Use GenAI to streamline documentation and requirements management.
What we're looking for
Required
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with technical or platform products.
- Strong experience defining product strategy, managing roadmaps, and working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and requirements gathering skills.
- Advanced experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong technical background with experience working alongside software engineering teams.
- Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of APIs, cloud architecture, data platforms, SQL and modern data engineering concepts.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments or HPC to cloud migrations.
- Knowledge of MLOps, AI and Machine Learning platforms.
- Experience with scientific computing platforms or life sciences software such as Benchling or Schrödinger.
- Understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulated environments.
- Cloud certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with portfolio modernization, cost optimization, and technology transformation initiatives.
What We Offer
- Full time permanent contract.
- Salary Range: €67,000 – €77,000 gross per year, depending on experience, skills, and the outcome of the technical assessment process.
