For its Madrid based office , our client, an international Financial Services structure, is currently looking for a:

Associate Client Accountant (m/f)

We are seeking a junior accounting professional with experience in the full accounting cycle and managing client portfolios. The role involves maintaining accounting records, issuing invoices, reconciling bank accounts, handling tax filings (including SII), and preparing annual financial statements.

Responsibilities

- Accounting, reporting, and invoicing for multiple companies
- Bank reconciliations, preparation and submission of tax returns and SII filings, and preparation/review of annual accounts
- Preparation of financial statements, payments, cash flow reports, cash position, and tax position for client companies
- Preparation of regulatory reports for third parties
- Posting journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation
- Assisting with audits by providing relevant financial information




- Preparing accounting data for official tax submissions to the Spanish Tax Agency
- Supporting client financial reporting, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and annual accounts

Profile

- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-client environment
- Degree or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Strong English skills (B2/C1) with the ability to communicate fluently with clients
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Ability and willingness to work in multicultural environments
