We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated scientist with expertise in analytical chemistry and metabolism studies to support regulatory submissions and product development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced analytical techniques, method development, and regulatory study design, and will contribute to general projects including JMPR reviews, method validations, and crop metabolism studies. This position will report to the Global Regulatory Lead - Scientific Affairs Manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analytical / Residue Chemistry:

Utilize advanced

analytical techniques such as LC-MS/MS and GC-MS for detection and quantification of residues in complex matrices

(aquatic media, diet, water, soil, crops). Develop and

validate analytical methods for challenging compounds

(low solubility, instability, volatility). Design and monitor residue studies in compliance with national and international regulatory guidelines, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely reporting. Maintain





strong working knowledge of SANTE/2020/12830

and other relevant regulatory frameworks. Collaborate with CROs to troubleshoot analytical challenges and provide expert guidance. Review and provide feedback on study plans and reports for method validation supporting

toxicology and ecotoxicology studies . Conduct and oversee

crop metabolism studies , ensuring alignment with guideline requirements for metabolite identification. Apply

structure elucidation techniques to identify and characterize metabolites. Coordinate with external partners for

study quotations and execution , particularly for

studies requested by regulatory bodies such as Japan. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Advanced degree (M.Sc./Ph.D.) in Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry , or related field. Proven

experience in LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and method development/validation . Familiarity with residue

study design, regulatory requirements, and international guidelines . Strong understanding of

metabolism studies and structure elucidation techniques. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in

cross-functional and global teams. Willingness to learn and

adapt to EU and US field residue study requirements . Diversity & Inclusion at UPL:
