Project/Design Engineer – Biogas & Biomethane (m/f/d)

About the Position

To strengthen our technical team at NAHwärmetechnologie & Anlagentechnik S.L. (NAHTEC Spain) , we are looking for a Design Engineer (m/f/d) to support the planning and implementation of modern biogas and biomethane plants .

In this position, you will work closely with our experienced engineers and project managers on international plant engineering projects – from technical development and detailed engineering through to construction and commissioning.

The main focus of the role will be on the detailed engineering and technical coordination of our plants .

Your Responsibilities

- Technical planning and detailed engineering of biogas and biomethane plants
- Preparation, modification and review of plant layouts, technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Support in the preparation and further development of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;)
- Planning and coordination of plant equipment, piping systems and technical interfaces
- Coordination of engineering activities across process engineering, civil works, electrical engineering and automation
- Preparation and review of technical specifications, data sheets and equipment/material lists
- Technical coordination with suppliers, engineering companies and project partners
- Review and integration of supplier documentation into the overall plant design
- Technical support for procurement and project management
- Continuous optimisation of existing plant concepts with regard to technical feasibility, costs and operation
- Support of the project team during construction and commissioning

Your Profile

- University degree in a technical field,



such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plant Engineering or a comparable discipline
- Initial professional experience in the engineering or design of industrial, energy, environmental or plant engineering projects is an advantage
- Experience in biogas, biomethane, renewable energy or process plant engineering is a strong plus
- Confident use of CAD and technical design software, especially AutoCAD
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to analyse and coordinate complex plant systems and interfaces
- Independent, accurate and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary team
- Good command of English; German is an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally to our projects and partners
