Sapira is the cognitive engine for heavy enterprise operations. While most AI tools are built to chat, draft emails or summarize data, we build AI that actually executes. We deploy networks of specialized, multi-agent systems that plug directly into legacy systems. These agents autonomously read unstructured documents, navigate complex deterministic decision trees, and execute end-to-end workflows without human intervention. We turn slow, manual back-office bottlenecks into highly scalable digital assembly lines.

We don't build software for Silicon Valley; we build operational infrastructure for the physical economy. The Role

The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer is the person who turns this transformation into a working system on the ground. This is a builder role. You are part builder, part product owner, and fully accountable for the client's outcome, as comfortable unpacking an operational workflow with a client as you are building, testing and shipping the solution that runs it.

Your mandate is to take Sapira's multi-agent technology and wire it into the operational nervous system of the client's business. You will sit at the intersection of product, engineering and implementation: leading discovery with process owners in the morning, and building, hardening and shipping the working demo in the afternoon.

You aren't just implementing a tool; you are functioning as an intrapreneur, taking a solution from ambiguous discovery through to a live, adopted implementation inside some of the world's most complex operations.

How the FDE Delivers

The FDE has full, end-to-end responsibility for building the solution. You are the one who has to be able to build the solution environment yourself, including the backend that holds it together. This isn't a role where implementation gets handed off to someone else.

Two things make that possible without doing it alone:

- PHARO, the internal platform: PHARO lets you move faster by automating parts of discovery, definition and development, so more of your time goes into the judgement calls that actually need a person.
- Technology, Platform and Integration teams: you can pull them in for two reasons: to get hands-on help with specific pieces of the build, and to have them check that what you're building is technically sound. They support and validate; they don't own the build. That ownership stays with you.

Responsibilities





Own the delivery

- Lead discovery: run discovery with client teams to understand their workflows, data, systems, constraints and success measures, and translate ambiguous operational problems into clear solution hypotheses and delivery plans.
- Radical ownership: take absolute responsibility for the client outcome. Partner closely with business sponsors, technical teams and end users throughout delivery, and clear roadblocks even when they fall outside your direct area.
- Executive presence: run demos, working sessions and implementation reviews that make technical trade-offs understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and keep delivery moving.

Build the solution

- Design and build: design and build AI-powered applications, agentic workflows and integrations that solve real client needs, prototyping quickly with clients and turning the strongest prototypes into reliable implementations.
- Write production-minded code: own the technical build across the solution stack: application logic, backend services, integrations, evaluation, observability and deployment.
- De-risk early: identify risks early, including data quality, system dependencies, security requirements, adoption barriers and unclear ownership.

Close the loop

- Measure adoption: measure whether solutions are being used and creating value; iterate on the product and workflow where they are not.
- Feed insights back: create a relentless feedback loop between the client's reality and Sapira's Engineering, Product and Strategy teams.

What Good Looks Like

Within the first months, you will have built trust with client stakeholders, developed a clear view of their highest-value workflows, and helped move at least one use case from discovery into a live, adopted implementation.

You make progress in ambiguous environments without over-engineering. You know when to prototype, when to harden a system, and when a client problem needs a product or process change, and you do it while leaning on PHARO and the support teams, not by waiting on them.

Requirements

- Experience: minimum 4 to 6 years as a Product Manager, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer or Software Engineer, having built and shipped real software, automation or AI-enabled products end to end.
- Agents in production: hands-on experience building and structuring agents and managing their memory in production, not just in a demo.
- Backend engineering: solid backend skills. You can design and build the services, data models, APIs and integrations that an agentic system needs to run against real client infrastructure (ERP, CRM, TMS, email).
- Evaluation, observability and self-improving loops: preferred experience setting up observability, LLM judges and adversarial agents creating self-improving AI systems.
- Product judgement: able to tell a compelling demo apart from a deployable solution, and to manage scope while protecting the outcome that matters.
- Communication and stakeholder management: excellent communication in professional Spanish and English, and proven ability to manage stakeholders directly, from client process owners to senior sponsors.
- Location: hybrid role, preferably based in Madrid. Open to candidates based in another city in Spain with flexibility to travel.

What This Role Is Not

- Not internal platform work: 99% of your time is spent on the client's use case, not on building or maintaining PHARO or other internal platforms.
- Not a strategy role: you're not here to define strategy; you're here to build the solution that makes the strategy real.
- Not a sales role: you're not selling. Land and expand happens because the solution works and the client trusts you, not because you're running a sales process.
- Not managing an engineering team: you're not directing or managing a team of engineers. You build, and you pull in Technology, Platform and Integration teams as a resource; you don't own their roadmap.
- What it is: the ability to build things yourself, and to lean on the company's resources to do it independently, without needing someone else to build it for you.
