This opportunity is for an experienced Regulatory Affairs professional who wants to take real ownership of active substance projects and have a direct influence on the long term future of an international product portfolio.

The organisation is investing heavily in its regulatory capabilities, particularly around active substance renewals and maintaining long term market access. As a result, Regulatory Affairs has a genuine seat at the table when decisions are being made about portfolio strategy, regulatory risk and future commercial opportunities.

You will have the autonomy to lead your own projects, while working alongside experienced regulatory professionals and scientific specialists across Europe.

You will own meaningful projects

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 2 to 5 active substances, depending on your experience. Rather than being one person contributing to a large process, you will be responsible for developing regulatory strategies, coordinating the necessary experts and driving projects through the European regulatory process.

Your work will have long term visibility The focus on active substance renewals means you will be working on projects that directly influence the ability of the organisation to maintain important products and markets. Your regulatory assessments and strategic decisions will therefore have consequences well beyond the dossier itself.

You will have both autonomy and support The regulatory function includes experienced professionals across several countries, giving you access to strong technical expertise when you need it. You will be trusted to lead your projects independently, while having experienced leadership around you to provide guidance and support.

You will work at the intersection of science, regulation and business The role offers an excellent balance between technical regulatory work and strategic project management. You will work with toxicology, ecotoxicology, residues, environmental fate and other scientific specialists, while also engaging with commercial, technical and supply chain colleagues to ensure regulatory strategies support wider business objectives.

You will be involved in the future direction of the portfolio

This is not simply about responding to regulatory requirements. You will monitor changes in the regulatory environment, identify potential risks and opportunities, and help shape strategies that allow the organisation to anticipate future challenges.

You will work with colleagues across multiple European countries and have the opportunity to develop relationships with authorities, external consultants and internal stakeholders across the region. The organisation has created a regulatory structure where collaboration and knowledge sharing are actively encouraged.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Managing approximately 2 to 5 active substance projects across European markets
- Developing regulatory strategies for EU renewals and approvals
- Conducting data gap analysis and determining appropriate regulatory approaches
- Coordinating contributions from toxicology, ecotoxicology, residues, environmental fate and other scientific disciplines
- Preparing, reviewing and overseeing regulatory dossiers and supporting documentation
- Managing zonal and national regulatory processes
- Responding to questions and requests from regulatory authorities
- Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their potential impact on the portfolio
- Acting as a key regulatory contact for authorities, consultants and external partners
- Working closely with commercial, technical and supply chain teams
- Contributing to the development of regulatory processes, tools and internal knowledge

What are we looking for?

You will ideally have

- Significant experience within Regulatory Affairs relating to plant protection products
- Experience working with active substance dossiers, renewals or approvals
- Strong knowledge of the European regulatory framework, including Regulation (EC) 1107/2009
- Experience managing complex regulatory projects involving multiple stakeholders
- The ability to understand and integrate scientific information into regulatory strategies
- Experience working with authorities and external regulatory partners
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- A pragmatic approach to solving regulatory challenges
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Additional European languages would be advantageous

Working Model The position offers considerable flexibility and can be performed remotely or through a hybrid arrangement depending on your location.

The organisation is open to candidates across a number of European countries, including Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Sweden and Slovakia.

Some travel will be required to meet colleagues, attend relevant meetings and engage with authorities.
