As a Principal Engineer, you will lead design and implementation of advanced system features with a focus on storage, replication, query execution, and performance. You’ll extend PostgreSQL internals and prototype cloud-native extensions, shaping core components for massive workloads. You operate with autonomy, mentor engineers, and set standards for engineering excellence. You’ll collaborate across product, infra, and cloud platforms to deliver developer-friendly experiences. This role offers influence over Postgres-based systems and cloud data infrastructure with a strong impact on performance and scale.

Responsabilidades
• 10+ years of systems software experience in C/C++ or Rust (Go a plus)
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL or other database engine internals (storage, execution, replication)
• Strong understanding of concurrency, OS, and performance engineering
• Proven track record shipping large-scale systems or core infrastructure features
• Experience contributing to open-source databases or complex systems desirable
• Pragmatic problem solver with bias for simplicity and impact
• Thrives in high-autonomy, high-velocity environments
