The Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support the HR Director, Europe & North America in the end-to-end delivery of core HR processes — recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy design, HR systems, and US payroll administration — across a multi-country footprint, acting as the operational point of reference for both EU and US employees

Key Responsibilities End-to-End Recruitment (EU and US)

Define search profiles with hiring managers and draft job descriptions

Post job ads, source candidates, screen CVs

Manage the interview process (scheduling, interviewer coordination, feedback collection)

Negotiate and prepare offer letters, aligning with the HR Director on compensation benchmarks

Manage pre-hire documentation (background checks where applicable, contractual/immigration documentation for specific cases)

Onboarding & Offboarding Management (EU and US)

Own the end-to-end onboarding process: contract preparation, welcome kit, system access requests, induction scheduling

Coordinate with IT, payroll, and hiring managers to ensure new hires are fully set up on day one

Manage the offboarding process: exit documentation, final pay coordination, system deactivation, exit interviews

Maintain onboarding/offboarding checklists and ensure consistent application across countries

Support GDPR-compliant handling of departing employee data (e.g., email forwarding, data retention)

Employee Query Management (EU and US)





First point of contact for employee queries on contracts, benefits, leave/PTO, and company policies

Escalate cases requiring legal review or managerial decision-making to the HR Director

Manage HR tickets through the internal ticketing system

Support on Employee Relations

Support the HR Director in managing employee relations matters (grievances, disciplinary processes, performance-related concerns)

Prepare supporting documentation for employee relations cases (meeting notes, correspondence, case files)

Help ensure consistent, compliant handling of sensitive employee matters across jurisdictions

Liaise with local legal counsel as needed under the HR Director's direction

Performance Management Support

Coordinate the performance review cycle calendar and communications across EU and US

Support managers and employees with performance management tools and templates

Track completion rates and follow up on outstanding reviews

Compile performance data and summaries for the HR DirectorSupport the administration of goal-setting, mid-year, and year-end review processes

Support on Local and Group Policy & Procedures

Support the drafting and review of Group policies (employee handbook, travel & expense policy, referral programme, AI usage policy)

Localize Group policies to reflect country-specific regulatory requirements (in coordination with local legal counsel)

Maintain up-to-date, accessible procedural documentation for employees

Support the rollout of new procedures following regulatory or organizational changes

US Payroll & Administration





Coordinate with the US payroll provider for monthly data submission and verification (new hires, terminations, compensation changes)

Manage administrative aspects of separations (severance agreements, OWBPA-related documentation where applicable)

Support benefits enrollment/renewal administration for US employees

Maintain and file employee records in line with US requirements (I-9, W-4, etc.)

Support coordination with US legal counsel on state-specific compliance matters

HR Information Systems Management

Administer and maintain the HRIS (employee records, contracts, compensation data)

Manage data flows between the HRIS, payroll providers, and other connected systems

Support the evaluation and migration of new HRIS platforms

Produce HR reporting and analytics for the HR Director (turnover, headcount, time-to-hire)

Manage access permissions and data quality across HR systems

Cross-Functional Projects

Support employee engagement initiatives (e.g., cross-country events)

Support the implementation of HR productivity tools (Asana, Power Automate)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (HR, Law, Business, or similar)

5-7 years of HR generalist experience, with proven end-to-end recruitment experience

Experience working in a multi-country context (EU and/or US) strongly preferred

Working knowledge of employment law, with the judgment to recognize when legal escalation is required

Fluent English, spoken and written — essential for daily interface with the US team

Hands-on experience with at least one HRIS

Strong prioritization skills, discretion, and ability to work autonomously on structured processes

Salary range 40.000-50.000€ gross per year
