to join a Digital Platform team responsible for building and improving robust cloud-native platform capabilities and shared engineering services.
This is a hands-on engineering role sitting between
software development, cloud infrastructure and platform enablement . You will work closely with engineering teams to build scalable platform services, improve automation and establish secure and reliable engineering practices.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, build and improve cloud-native platform capabilities using
AWS
and modern software engineering practices.
Develop and maintain applications and shared platform components using
Java and TypeScript .
Work extensively with
Kubernetes , Helm and ArgoCD.
Build scalable and maintainable infrastructure using
AWS CDK and/or Terraform .
Improve and standardise
CI/CD pipelines , including Azure DevOps.
Automate build, testing, quality and deployment processes.
Work with AWS services including
SQS and SNS .
Embed security,
quality and compliance requirements into engineering workflows.
Improve resilience, observability and cost efficiency across the platform.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration with shared platform services.
Requirements
5+ years' experience within senior engineering, platform engineering, full-stack engineering or a comparable role.
Strong commercial
AWS
experience.
Hands-on experience with
AWS CDK
and Infrastructure as Code.
Commercial software development experience using
Java and TypeScript .
Experience with automated testing and secure software delivery.
Strong understanding of modern software architecture.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
