We are looking to engage a well established and experienced Freelance Project Director to join a new large-scale data center project in Barcelona.

Location: Barcelona (4 days per week onsite)

Start: November / December

Contract: 2.5 Year Freelance Contract

Role Overview

This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for managing the project from A-Z, working closely with the General Contractor, consultants and internal stakeholders. The position is challenging and fast-paced, requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to drive programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall project leadership from design through construction, commissioning and handover
- Full responsibility for programme understanding, control and challenge
- Day-to-day management and coordination of the General Contractor




- Supporting and challenging the GC to ensure schedule, quality and cost targets are met
- Cost awareness and support, including reporting and change management
- Regular reporting to senior stakeholders and executive management

Essential Skills

- Proven experience as a Project Manager / Director function on data center projects
- Previous data center project experience in Spain is required
- Demonstrated track record xqbhyrx managing full lifecycle projects
- Strong understanding of large-scale construction programmes and GC management
- Fluent English, with Spanish language skills highly desirable
- Comfortable operating in a high-pressure, senior stakeholder environment
- Strong knowledge of the Spanish construction and data center market
