PREFAB DATA CENTERS BUSINESS
The modular Data Centers have been driving tremendous growth in the segment during the last years. As part of the Data Center Systems Line of Business, the MODULAR DATA CENTER organization designs and integrates full solutions in the field of power conversion, energy storage, cooling, electrical distribution, and control software into modular enclosures.
About the position:
The Engineering Systems Engineer is responsible for establishing, deploying, and governing the
organization’s engineering systems landscape, with Windchill serving as the primary Product Data Management (PDM) platform.
This role is critical to enabling scalable, efficient, and accurate design and manufacturing workflows by establishing foundational engineering systems and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, configuring workflows, and ensuring seamless integration with ERP/MRP systems to support the rapid growth of the Modular Data Center business.
The organization is increasing the level of detail within its 3D models and drawing packages. This added detail requires the definition and governance of standard parts and subassemblies within Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings, enabling manufacturing teams to standardize build processes, improve repeatability, and minimize overall build cycle durations.
The Engineering Systems Engineer will play a key role in establishing the systems, standards, and workflows that support this increased level of design maturity.
This position will work closely with Engineering Managers across the design team to ensure
that all new and existing engineering tools and systems are efficiently coordinated to produce accurate, consistent, and detailed design and drawing packages. The Engineering Systems Lead will serve as a central point of coordination between Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure product data integrity, enhance safety, reduce rework, and minimize build durations through disciplined system integration and part standardization.
Key Responsabilities:
Own and drive implementation of Windchill as the organization’s primary PDM system
Define and configure system architecture, workflows and data structures.
Collaborates with the Transformation Team to define system recommendations and requirements that feed into the Long-Term Engineering Systems Roadmap
