Experteer Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of Linux kernel features in BPF, networking, and security, bringing innovations into Cilium and Tetragon. You will work with a small, collaborative team and maintain strong ties to the upstream kernel community. You will engage with engineers, product, and customers to shape future direction and may present at conferences. This role offers the chance to impact cloud-native networking at scale and contribute to open-source initiatives within Cisco Isovalent.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead design and development of new Linux kernel functionality in BPF, networking, and/or security and integrate into Cilium/Tetragon




• Collaborate in a small technical team and participate in upstream Linux kernel work
• Engage with engineering, product, and customers to align on technical direction
• Present work at technical conferences (e.g., KubeCon, Linux Plumbers, LSF/MM/BPF)
• Uphold engineering best practices, code quality, and operational excellence

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of upstream Linux kernel track record
• 5+ years of experience in C
• Public track record of open-source code commits (mandatory)
