Title: Quantantive Research Analyst

Location: Barcelona - 3 days per week in office

Rate: €400-€450 per day

THE OPPORTUNITY

A global enterprise software business is bringing in an analyst for six months to sit inside its product design and research function. This is a newly created role, created because the team has plenty of qualitative insight and almost no quantitative firepower to sit next to it.

The focus is implementation: how the business gets its products set up and ready for customers to use. Today that runs across a lot of separate tools, a great deal of it is still done manually, and it generates a very large volume of service ticket data. Nobody has yet had the time or the skill set to work that data properly.

Your job is to change that. You will be the person who tells a large design team where to point its effort, backed by evidence rather than instinct.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

- Working with large volumes of service ticket data, plus data pulled from a number of other internal systems.
- Finding the trends in it and building models that hold up to scrutiny.
- Answering the question the team cannot answer today: across all the current implementation journeys, where should we focus? Which stages generate the most service tickets, and of those, which represent the most difficult human problem to solve?
- Setting your quantitative picture alongside the qualitative UX research the team already runs, so the two together drive the decisions.

- Working in close partnership with a senior research and service design lead, and with the design lead who will own the experience vision for implementation.
- Presenting your findings to a broad and fairly senior stakeholder group.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Strong, genuine number crunching ability. This is the core of the role and everything else is secondary to it.
- Real experience handling large, messy operational datasets. Service desk, ticketing or support data would be idóneo.
- The ability to turn analysis into a clear recommendation about where to act, not just a dashboard or a report that lands and goes nowhere.
- Comfort working directly alongside senior researchers and designers, and the confidence to hold your position in that room.

NICE TO HAVE

- User behaviour analytics experience.
- Hands-on experience with Pendo.
- A quantitative UX research background rather than a purely business intelligence one.

WHY IT IS WORTH A LOOK

This is a rare shape of role. Most data analyst contracts are reporting jobs inside a central function. This one is embedded in a design team, on a well-supported programme, with a clear question to answer and people who genuinely want the answer. The work will directly shape a design vision that the business intends to build towards over the next couple of years.

If this sounds like you then APPLY NOW!
