Position: UNIX/Linux Administrator

Location: Madrid/Malaga, Spain (1 Day onsite a week).

Duration: Permanent

Service Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior UNIX System Administrator to operate and manage Linux, AIX, and Solaris environments within an international enterprise environment.

As a Senior SysAdmin, you will be expected to work proactively with minimal supervision, troubleshoot complex issues, execute planned activities, collaborate with integral teams in English, and follow established operational procedures while meeting agreed SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage UNIX and Cluster run operations.
- Perform standard operational support activities.
- Administer and support AIX environments, including legacy AIX versions.
- Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request (SR) activities.
- Conduct regular system health checks and performance assessments.
- Implement and align system parameter changes.
- Monitor and maintain AIX infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to ensure service stability and performance.

Required Skills

Must Have

- Experience in UNIX/Linux system administration.




- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong Linux system administration background.
- In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Linux OS and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience managing Linux servers in virtualized environments.
- Experience with remote datacenter operations and support.
- Familiarity with VMware technologies and SAN concepts/management.
- Good understanding of IBM Power Technology at the hardware level.
- Solid knowledge of networking and infrastructure protocols, including:
- DNS
- HTTP
- LDAP
- SMTP
- SNMP
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

- RHCT (Red Hat Certified Technician)
- RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)
- LPIC (Linux Professional Institute Certification)

Working Hours

Rotational shifts, Monday to Friday:

- 07:00 - 15:00
- 08:00 - 17:00
- 10:00 - 19:00
