As a Market Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
- Monitor the evolution of electricity and gas markets, identifying the key factors driving price formation.
- Support market forecasting and fundamental analysis to help inform decision-making across Short-Term Trading and Power & Gas Trading teams.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of fundamental models for electricity and gas markets.
- Support the development and maintenance of forecasting models for prices, generation, demand and other key energy-market variables.
- Contribute to the implementation of Machine Learning and advanced analytics techniques where they can add value to forecasting and market analysis.
- Participate in backtesting, benchmarking and model validation, analysing results and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, CWE analysts, data and regulatory teams to develop new methodologies and tools supporting the business.
