A leading marine organisation in Southern Spain is seeking an experienced Planner to support the planning, scheduling and delivery of ship repair and maintenance projects.
This is a key operational position working closely with Project Managers, Ship Repair Managers, Production teams and subcontractors to ensure vessel repair projects are properly planned, resourced and delivered within agreed schedules.
The Role:
? Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for ship repair, maintenance and dry-docking projects.
? Produce project programmes, work breakdown structures and short-term look-ahead schedules.
? Coordinate planning activities across multiple repair disciplines including steel, mechanical, piping, electrical and coatings.
? Monitor project progress against agreed schedules and identify potential delays or critical-path issues.
? Update project programmes throughout the repair period based on presente progress and changing operational requirements.
? Work closely with Project Managers and Production teams to establish manpower, equipment and resource requirements.
? Coordinate schedules involving internal teams,
subcontractors, suppliers and vessel representatives.
? Produce progress reports, planning updates and schedule forecasts for management.
? Support project meetings and provide accurate information regarding progress, milestones and outstanding works.
? Assist with recovery planning where projects fall behind schedule.
Requirements:
⚙️ Previous experience as a Planner, Project Planner, Planning Engineer or Scheduler within ship repair, shipbuilding, marine, offshore or heavy industry.
⚙️ Ship repair or shipyard planning experience strongly preferred.
⚙️ Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
