What are your responsibilities as an FSQ Assistant?
You enjoy getting involved in tasks such as:
- Communicating, implementing and monitoring the application of operational procedures and standards in accordance with Group requirements, ensuring the effectiveness of the quality management system as well as food safety and product quality across the business.
- Encouraging employees to deliver high-quality products and contributing to quality and hygiene training for new employees, as well as following any changes to regulations or procedures.
- Assisting with the preparation, organisation and successful completion of external audits, and helping to adapt systems and quality standards in support of the continuous improvement of processes.
- Supporting the follow-up of customer and logistics complaints within the quality management system and contributing to the definition of corrective actions.
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of procedures and work instructions, ensuring compliance with visual standards and self-monitoring procedures in order to guarantee product quality and food safety on production lines.
- Updating product specifications, studies and HACCP plans for production lines, maintaining Interspec with all required specification information (product quality and characteristics) and the ERP system (Bill of Materials),
and managing production labels.
- Managing cleaning activities (factory, machinery and workwear), carrying out calibration of measuring equipment, taking samples and performing related quality control activities.
- Keeping up to date with developments within the professional field to ensure that services are always based on current knowledge and best practice.
- Reporting directly to the QA Manager.
How can you strengthen our teams?
It's not only about who you are, but also about what you can become. Ideally, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- A Bachelor's degree, for example in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in quality management, preferably within the food industry, and familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, BRC and IFS.
- A hands-on approach with a strong presence on the shop floor; you build relationships easily and are able to communicate and promote your ideas effectively and diplomatically.
- A practical mindset combined with strong administrative and organisational skills.
- A methodical, organised and detail-oriented approach, with a strong awareness of standards and procedures.
- A solution-focused attitude, with the ability to work independently and develop effective solutions.
