We are looking for an experienced Business & Service Designer to join a large-scale digital environment in Brussels.

This opportunity is idóneo for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of customer experience, innovation and business strategy — taking an initial challenge or opportunity and turning it into a validated, commercially sound service concept.

What will you be working on?

You will help teams explore new service opportunities and rethink existing customer experiences, from early discovery through to a validated concept ready for implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Understanding customer needs through qualitative and quantitative research
- Analysing customer behaviour, market information and available data
- Identifying pain points and opportunities across customer journeys
- Creating customer journeys, personas/archetypes, service blueprints and value propositions
- Turning research findings into clear concepts and actionable recommendations
- Designing and testing early concepts and prototypes with users
- Facilitating workshops with business, product, technology and design stakeholders
- Evaluating whether proposed solutions make sense from both a customer and business perspective
- Building business cases, including costs, benefits, investment assumptions and longer-term financial projections
- Helping teams translate validated concepts into MVP requirements
- Collaborating closely with UX/UI, Product and other digital specialists
- Sharing Service Design practices and supporting less experienced designers when needed

What are we looking for?

You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as:

- Service Design
- Business Design
- CX Strategy
- Innovation Consulting
- Strategic UX / Product Design





You should be comfortable managing a design initiative from discovery through validation, rather than focusing exclusively on UX/UI execution.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in:

- Design Thinking and structured discovery methodologies
- User and customer research
- Customer journey mapping and service blueprinting
- Value proposition development
- Concept development and prototyping
- Workshop facilitation
- Stakeholder management
- Business modelling and commercial viability
- Financial business cases and multi-year forecasting

Experience with collaborative design tools such as Miro, Mural or FigJam is expected.

Being comfortable working with data and interpreting customer or business metrics is important. Exposure to analytics and research platforms such as Tableau, Qualtrics, MicroStrategy or similar tools is an advantage.

What kind of person will succeed in this role?

We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution.

You can challenge assumptions, structure ambiguous problems and communicate complex ideas in a simple and visual way. At the same time, you understand that a great customer experience also needs to be technically achievable and commercially sustainable.

You should be comfortable influencing senior and multidisciplinary stakeholders and bringing different perspectives together around a shared direction.

Working model: Hybrid – minimum 2 days/week onsite

Languages: Fluent English + French or Dutch

Previous experience within telecommunications, digital services or another large service-oriented organisation is considered an advantage.
