Within this role, you will work at the intersection of business and IT. You will develop a strong understanding of the business domain you support, translate business needs into clear requirements and help determine which solutions create the most value for the organisation.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, testers and other IT colleagues throughout the full delivery process.

Your role

- Build a strong understanding of the operational processes, challenges and priorities within your business domain.
- Act as a key point of contact between business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Gather, analyse and challenge business requirements and translate them into clear and actionable requirements, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate workshops, refinement sessions and discussions with stakeholders to clarify needs, identify priorities and define possible solutions.
- Look beyond the initial request and identify the underlying business need before determining the most appropriate solution.




- Support the prioritisation of requirements and initiatives and help the team maintain focus on the solutions that create the most business value.
- Coordinate different requests and initiatives within your domain and maintain an overview when several topics are running simultaneously.
- Work closely with developers and testers throughout the development process to clarify requirements, answer functional questions and validate solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
- Support testing, implementation and adoption of new functionalities.
- Maintain regular contact with end users and operational teams to understand how processes and systems work in practice.
- Visit other CLdN locations when required to better understand operational processes and collaborate with local stakeholders. This may include regular visits to locations such as Zeebrugge.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise processes, systems and ways of working.

Your profile

- Languages: Dutch – fluent | English – fluent
- You hold a higher degree, minimum Bachelor level, or have equivalent relevant experience.
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Owner or in a comparable role connecting business and IT.
- You are analytically strong and able to structure complex information into clear requirements and priorities.




- You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and feel comfortable interacting with both operational and technical colleagues.
- You ask critical questions and are comfortable challenging requests, assumptions and proposed solutions.
- You take ownership and are able to move topics forward rather than waiting for all information to be provided.
- You are able to manage several topics simultaneously and can distinguish between urgent requests and longer-term priorities.
- You understand business processes and are able to translate them into workable digital solutions.
- You are comfortable working in a dynamic IT environment where priorities can evolve.
- You have experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience with techniques or tools such as user stories, process modelling, UML, Figma, FigJam or event storming is an advantage.
- You are willing to occasionally travel to other CLdN locations in Belgium.

Working Hours & Additional Leave

- Full-time contract of 38 hours per week
- 5 extra days off in addition to statutory vacation days
- Hybrid working: max. 3 days per week after 6 months of service
- Work hours with adaptable start (7:30–9:30 AM) and finish (4:00–6:00 PM)
