HAYS Technology is assisting one of their clients in their search for a freelance Junior Functional Analyst – SAP S/4HANA O2C.

As a Junior Functional Analyst, you will support the rollout of an existing SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (O2C) template across multiple European countries. You will assist business users during testing phases, answer functional questions, liaise with IT teams, and gradually build expertise in SAP S/4HANA processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional eager to develop a long-term career in SAP functional analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for O2C processes

• Act as a first point of contact for functional questions from the business

• Help analyse issues, clarify expected system behaviour, and guide users

• Work closely with senior functional analysts and IT teams to follow up on defects or questions

• Build hands-on knowledge of O2C processes, including Order Management, Billing, and Finance integration

• Learn how SAP S/4HANA configuration impacts business processes and system behaviour

• Support functional documentation and knowledge transfer activities

• Translate business questions into clear input for IT and functional teams

• Participate in workshops, testing sessions, and rollout activities

• Support future country rollouts by reusing lessons learned and best practices





Must Have Skills:

• Junior profile with initial exposure to SAP, ERP, or functional analysis

• Strong interest in business processes, particularly Order-to-Cash (O2C)

• Comfortable working with both business and IT stakeholders

• Strong communication skills with a structured and pragmatic approach

• Analytical mindset and willingness to ask the right questions

• Eagerness to learn SAP S/4HANA and understand business process flows

• Proactive attitude and strong follow-up skills

• Fluent in English (mandatory)

• Good knowledge of Dutch

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to SAP, ERP, or O2C/P2P processes

• Experience supporting testing activities (UAT, SIT, business testing)

• Experience in international or multi-country project environments

• Understanding of template-driven SAP rollouts

Long-term assignment based in Ghent. Hybrid working model with 3 onsite days per week. ASAP start date. Initial contract duration of 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension.
