Vectis.ai is building Physics AI for electronics design and is hiring its first specialist engineering team in Belgium.

We are looking for a freelance Technical Recruiter to work directly with the founders for approximately 3 to 4 months. The recruiter will own proactive sourcing, initial screening and candidate pipeline management for four difficult technical searches.

The roles are:

- Principal Electronics Synthesis Engineer
- EDA / Computational Geometry Engineer
- Optimization and Constraint Solver Engineer
- ML / Physics Surrogate Engineer

The objective is to make all four hires as quickly as possible, with the first hires targeted for October/November 2026.

Scope and Deliverables

- Build target-company and candidate maps for each role
- Personally source and contact passive candidates
- Run outbound outreach through LinkedIn and other relevant channels
- Conduct initial candidate screening
- Manage scheduling, follow-up and pipeline reporting
- Work directly with the founders through interview and offer stages
- Identify suitable contractors where permanent candidates cannot start quickly enough
- Maintain all candidate data and outreach history in Vectis.ai's recruitment systems

We expect active sourcing rather than reliance on inbound applications.

Freelancer Profile





We are looking for someone who has successfully recruited hard-to-find technical profiles in areas such as:

- electronics and embedded systems
- semiconductor
- EDA / CAD
- hardware engineering
- scientific computing
- mathematical optimization
- ML / computational physics
- deep-tech R&D;

Experience recruiting in Belgium or the wider Benelux market is required.

Direct experience recruiting every one of these profiles is not necessary. Strong technical curiosity and the ability to understand unusual engineering roles quickly are more important.

Requirements

- Strong track record sourcing passive senior technical candidates
- Personally conducts outbound sourcing
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and direct candidate outreach
- Comfortable recruiting MSc/PhD-level engineering and research profiles
- Able to work directly with founders in a fast recruitment process
- Fluent professional English

Working Model

Approximately 2 to 3 days per week for an initial 3-month engagement, likely extending to 4 months.

Mostly remote. The engineering roles themselves are primarily Belgium-based and hybrid.

Target rate: €600 to €700 per day.

This is an embedded freelance recruiting assignment. We are not looking for an agency placement model or percentage-based success fee.
