We are currently looking for an experienced Test Reporting Engineer with strong expertise in Factoring and financial reporting to join a leading financial services organization in Belgium.

Role Overview

As a Test Reporting Engineer, you will join the COO Office team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of complex internal and financial reports generated within a proprietary Factoring IT ecosystem.

You will act as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, validating reporting outputs and ensuring that solutions are thoroughly tested before deployment. This role requires a unique combination of deep knowledge of Factoring processes and products and strong experience in IT testing and reporting validation.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently design, develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios for factoring reporting requirements.
- Perform functional and data-driven testing of internal and financial reports.
- Validate that reporting outputs accurately reflect underlying factoring transactions, client data and business requirements.
- Create and maintain structured test plans, test scenarios and execution documentation.
- Record and document test results, including pass/fail outcomes and validation findings.
- Identify discrepancies between expected and vigente report outputs.
- Provide clear feedback and defect information to IT and development teams.
- Work with business requirements and translate them into effective testing approaches.




- Validate complex workflow processes and reporting logic within database-driven IT environments.
- Continuously develop knowledge of evolving business processes and IT system architectures to ensure robust testing coverage.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Must Have:

- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- A Master's degree in Finance & Economics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, IT, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field.
- Deep and advanced knowledge of Factoring processes and products.
- Strong understanding of concepts such as recourse/non-recourse factoring, assignment of receivables and credit limits.
- Strong understanding of IT environments and database-driven reporting systems.
- Experience with software testing and reporting validation.
- Experience with requirements management.
- Good understanding of workflow processes.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the complete validation lifecycle.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

Highly Advantageous

- Strong knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
- Experience with conceptual modelling techniques and methods.
- Certifications or formal training in Factoring, Receivables Finance or Credit Risk Management.
- Professional certification in software testing or Quality Assurance methodologies.

Work Arrangement

This position follows a hybrid working model, with approximately 50% onsite and 50% homeworking.

The candidate must also be available to work from the Turnhout office at least one day per week to ensure close collaboration with the local team.
