As a Senior Systems/Operations Engineer in AWS Managed Operations, you will help build, run, and scale the European Sovereign Cloud for EU customers.

You’ll collaborate with global teams to improve availability, reliability, latency, and efficiency of critical services.

You will participate in 24x7 on-call rotations, drive operational improvements, and mentor teams while shaping how AWS services operate in a sovereign European context.

This role blends hands-on engineering with cross-functional leadership to deliver resilient, scalable cloud solutions.

• Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the ESC and collaborate with integral AWS teams
• Improve day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to resolve incidents and ensure resilience

• Review operational health, identify anomalies,



and produce actionable bug reports
• Provide feedback on change management documents and address operational backlog

• Root-cause analysis with the team to ensure fault-tolerance and reliability

Responsabilidades
• Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting
• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
• Experience in Systems engineering, site reliability engineering, building and operating systems at scale
• EU national and residing in the EU
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
