- This position is based in Med Spain, and covers the relevant activities in that area for Existing vessels, New Construction, Materials & components. Occasional work outside of this area is also expected to cover business needs. following current processes and procedures.What you bringTechnical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd’s Register in the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum two-year programme), or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.- Membership in an appropriate professional institution.- Working towards or attaining Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.- Adherence to professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics .- Previous experience of verification processes, product and rule development and project management with experience of delivering technical services and products within defined budgets and timescales.- The ability to utilize a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge andunderstanding to apply existing and emerging technology.- Capability to apply suitable theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate, and maintain engineering products, processes, systems, and services.- Proficiency in technical and commercial management, such as project management and process management.- Proficiency in the English language that is suitable for the nature of the work.Nice to have- Classification Society experience.You are someone who- Is keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs- Is able to self-manage and prioritize tasks towards reaching goals- Is effective at solving problems and making timely decisions- Is willing to take initiative and motivated- Communicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language- Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment- Responds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zoneIf you share our vision for safety and sustainability, we want to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
