Senior Business Analyst – Credit & Mortgages

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a leading banking organisation within the credit domain. The successful candidate will work on business-critical initiatives covering consumer credit, professional loans, and mortgages, with a strong emphasis on the Belgian mortgage market.

The role involves supporting strategic transformation programmes, regulatory initiatives, and the evolution of credit systems and processes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to define requirements, improve processes, and deliver solutions that support the bank's lending activities.

Responsibilities

- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
- Support the development and enhancement of credit systems covering consumer loans, professional loans, and mortgages.
- Analyse and optimise end-to-end credit processes.
- Work with product, technology, and operational teams to define future-state processes and solutions.




- Contribute to initiatives aimed at increasing customer self-service capabilities.
- Support regulatory and compliance-driven projects impacting the credit domain.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Essential

- Experience as a Business Analyst within the banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of the Belgian credit market.
- Good understanding of mortgage products, mortgage processes, and related systems.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Languages

- Dutch and/or French required.
- English working proficiency.
- English-only candidates will not be considered.

We are looking for a Business Analyst who combines strong analytical skills with practical knowledge of Belgian lending products, particularly mortgages. Candidates with around 3+ years of relevant credit and mortgage experience will be considered, provided they can demonstrate strong domain expertise and an understanding of how credit products and systems operate in practice.
