Field Service Engineer – Electromechanical & Automation
Antwerp Region | Benelux & European Travel
Looking for a field role where you can combine mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting rather than specialise in just one area?
We are hiring two Field Service Engineers to join an established international engineering company working with complex industrial equipment across pharmaceutical, chemical, food and plastics manufacturing.
Why consider it?
- Hands-on electromechanical + PLC troubleshooting
- Commissioning, fault finding and problem solving rather than repetitive maintenance
- Around 40 overnight stays per year, normally home at weekends
- Approximately 12 months of structured training alongside experienced engineers
- International projects across multiple industries and technologies
- Company car + competitive salary and benefits
- Long-term technical development and increasing independence
What you'll do
You'll commission, start up and troubleshoot industrial equipment at customer sites,
covering mechanical, electrical and automation-related issues.
You'll also work with PLC-controlled equipment for diagnostics and fault finding. PLC programming is not required.
What we're looking for
- Electromechanical, automation, electrical or similar technical background
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery
- Electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding experience
- Practical understanding of PLC-controlled equipment
- Fluent Dutch and English
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites
Experience in field service, commissioning, industrial maintenance, automation or machine building would all be relevant.
You should ideally live within reasonable reach of Antwerp, particularly for your initial training.
