As Trading Manager for EMEA , you will play a key role to manage Cemex’s cement & clinker Trading business across the Europe & Mediterranean region, including the commercialization of Cemex product into the international market, sourcing of product for Cemex operations, and third-party trading.

Coordinate with Cemex local business units across Europe & the Mediterranean basin to understand their export availability and capabilities and ensure this is sold to the international market with the most attractive terms & conditions.
Negotiate sales and/or purchase contracts on behalf of Cemex Operations.




Identify opportunities to generate a positive margin from pure third-party trading businesses; Oversee the day-to-day operation of contracts to ensure smooth performance, resolving any claims or disputes with customers/suppliers.
Ensure a timely collection of Accounts Receivable and engage with Legal team as required to resolve collection issues.
Ensuring new suppliers and clients have passed Cemex’s Compliance and KYC procedures.
Provide intelligence on market dynamics and trends in the region, to support the identification of new business opportunities or commercial risks to the Company.

Bachelor’s degree in international business or international Trade is preferred.

Proficient English.
Spanish or French as a second language (desirable).

6+ years of experience performing an international trading role, preferably in the cement industry or in commodities trading.
~ Experience working in an international and multi-cultural environment, demonstrating awareness of different business norms and customs.
Knowledge of maritime shipping, trade finance, contract preparation and antitrust laws.
Strong negotiation and commercial skills: must be highly adept at both procurement activities and sales negotiations.
