Agentic AI Specialist (M365 Ecosystem)
1. Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide hands-on specialist capacity to support the implementation, administration, governance, and adoption of AI agents across the organisation. The Agentic AI Specialist will design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and the Microsoft Power Platform, delivering both low-code and custom-developed AI agents that meet business requirements.
The incumbent will administer and support Microsoft Agent 365 and the associated AI platforms, including agent lifecycle management, configuration, publishing, monitoring, governance, security compliance, and operational support, and will ensure that AI capabilities are delivered and managed as enterprise services, encompassing service delivery, support processes, platform management, reporting, and continuous improvement.
2. Background
As the use of AI agents expands, dedicated technical capacity is required to ensure these capabilities are implemented, governed, administered, and supported as secure, compliant, and reliable enterprise services. This includes establishing governance standards, managing the full agent lifecycle, operating the underlying platforms, and providing effective support to business users.
The Agentic AI Specialist will be embedded within the Information and Digital Technology Department and is expected to actively and effectively collaborate with external vendors (e.g. Microsoft), technical stakeholders (e.g. Workplace Collaboration Specialists, Cybersecurity, Cloud Architects, and Support teams), and business users.
3. Work to be performed
Under the supervision of Team Lead, Data and AI, in the Technology and Digital Enablement Unit, the Agentic AI Specialist will carry out the following duties:
A. Governance and architecture
- Develop a practical roadmap covering administration, governance, deployment, support, and adoption of AI agents.
- Create standards for naming, documentation, testing, publishing, monitoring, reviewing, and retiring agents.
- Advise on licensing, consumption, architecture, platform configuration, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Ensure that strategic recommendations are translated into working configurations and operational processes.
B. Platform administration
- Administer Microsoft Agent 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant operation of enterprise AI services.
- Support the administration of Copilot Studio, Power Platform environments, Dataverse, connectors, and gateways.
- Manage agent configuration, publishing, permissions, lifecycle, monitoring, and reporting.
- Manage the organisational Agent Store and agent catalogue.
- Support platform operations, incident resolution, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
- Implement lifecycle-management processes covering agent creation, testing, approval, publication, operation, review, and retirement.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, administration procedures, and support runbooks to enable sustainable platform management.
C. Agentic solution design and delivery
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support AI agents using Microsoft 365 Copilot,
Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and the Power Platform.
- Develop both low-code and custom AI solutions to address business requirements.
- Integrate AI agents with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse, APIs, Azure services, and line-of-business applications.
- Optimise AI solutions for performance, reliability, and business value.
D. Operational support
- Provide hands-on second- and third-line support for Copilot and AI-agent issues.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, access problems, configuration errors, and user questions.
- Troubleshoot issues across Copilot, Agent 365, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, and connected services.
- Coordinate escalations with Microsoft and other technology providers.
- Maintain incident, problem, and change-management records.
- Establish support models, escalation paths, service levels, and ownership arrangements.
- Conduct regular service reviews and recommend improvements.
4. Expected Deliverable(s)
The expected deliverables of this engagement are the following, but not limited to:
Task 1: Governance and architecture
- Deliverable 1.1: A practical roadmap covering the administration, governance, deployment, support, and adoption of AI agents.
- Deliverable 1.2: Documented standards for the naming, documentation, testing, publishing, monitoring, review, and retirement of agents, translated into working configurations and operational processes.
- Deliverable 1.3: Advisory recommendations on licensing, consumption, architecture, platform configuration, and build-versus-buy decisions.
Task 2: Platform administration
- Deliverable 2.1: Operational Agent 365 and Copilot agent environment with documented configurations and lifecycle management and support processes.
- Deliverable 2.2: An established and maintained organisational Agent Store and agent catalogue.
Task 3: Agentic solution design and delivery
- Deliverable 3.1: Custom and low-code AI solutions designed, built, tested, and deployed using Azure AI Foundry and the Power Platform, integrated with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse, APIs, Azure services, and line-of-business applications.
- Deliverable 3.2: AI solutions optimised for performance, reliability, and business value.
Task 4: Operational support framework and service management
- Deliverable 4.1: A complete set of operational artefacts, including support runbooks, administration procedures, knowledge articles, FAQs, and administrator guides.
- Deliverable 4.2: An established support model with defined escalation paths, service levels, and ownership arrangements, in line with Integral Service Desk support processes.
- Deliverable 4.3: Periodic service review reports, including monitoring and usage/consumption reporting, with recommendations for continuous improvement.
5 Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills in international and multi-cultural settings at the global and regional level.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Copilot cowork, Microsoft Agent 365, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, Dataverse, and related Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong understanding of agentic AI, generative AI, AI-agent architecture, orchestration, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to vibe code, design and develop both low-code and custom AI agents and integrate them with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Teams, APIs, Azure services, and enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated versatility and ability to operate across multiple technical roles as required, including solution architecture, hands-on development, platform administration, governance, and second- and third-line operational support.
- Sound knowledge of enterprise AI security, compliance, access control, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex platform, integration, configuration, and performance issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and external vendors.
- Ability to rapidly learn, adapt to, and operationalize emerging AI technologies and platform capabilities.
- Proactive, flexible, resourceful and able to work independently with limited supervision.
6. Education Qualifications Essential
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, software engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Desirable
- An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in a related field.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer), MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), PL-200 / PL-400 / PL-600 (Power Platform), N8N or Microsoft 365 Copilot-related certifications.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
7. Experience Essential

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in IT solution design, development, administration, or support
- Around two (2) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform.
- Demonstrated ability to adopt newly released Microsoft technologies and put them into production e.g. Agent 365.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting AI agents, chatbots, or automation solutions.
- Experience providing second- and third-line technical support in an enterprise environment, including incident and problem management.
- Experience establishing AI governance frameworks, agent lifecycle-management processes, or platform operating models.
Desirable
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment and lifecycle management using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
- Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar orchestration frameworks for custom AI agent development.
- Experience working in international organisations or large, complex enterprise environments.
