The Role

micro1 is engaging Adolescent/Child Safeguarding & Exploitation Specialists to contribute to a customer project focused on assessing sexual safety and exploitation risks in adolescent scenarios. You’ll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.

No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

What You’ll Own

- Review complex adolescent cases to assess sexual safety and child sexual exploitation or abuse risks.
- Produce clear, defensible written safeguarding guidance suitable for non-specialists.
- Apply recognized risk assessment and safeguarding frameworks to evaluate urgency and appropriate interventions.
- Identify indicators of grooming, coercion, and exploitation within nuanced case details.
- Recommend protective actions and escalation pathways, including circumstances where mandatory reporting may be warranted.
- Apply a trauma-informed approach while considering developmental stage, capacity, and consent factors in each assessment.
- Benchmark clinical judgments against peer standards and established protocols to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

- 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience in child safeguarding, adolescent protection, or relevant clinical roles.
- Specialist background in child protection, forensic child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology, or paediatric medicine with a safeguarding focus.
- Active clinical license or registration in good standing.
- Current or recent adolescent caseload or safeguarding practice within the past two years.
- Demonstrated expertise in child sexual exploitation or abuse risk assessment and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Strong skills in trauma-informed practice and clinical or safeguarding documentation.
- Exceptional written English skills,



with native or equivalent proficiency such as IELTS 7.5+ with 7.0+ in writing, TOEFL 100+, Cambridge C1–C2, or equivalent.

Preferred

- Experience in a designated safeguarding or expert-witness capacity.
- Familiarity with Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma frameworks.
- Experience working with complex child protection or adolescent safeguarding cases.

Compensation

The compensation for this contractor role is based on approved work completed and accepted through the project’s quality review process. Specific payment rates and terms will be provided during the onboarding process.

Start Timeline & Availability

We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts who are ready to begin immediately. If selected, you’ll be expected to start your first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
