The role

You will work directly with Fer (CEO) and Marc (CTO) as we go from a closed pre-seed and a handful of enterprise clients. There is no fixed scope. The role sits wherever the company is bottlenecked this quarter, and that moves between strategy, customer delivery, hiring and operations.

You will report to the CEO and be the first hire outside engineering and science.

What you'll do

- Strategy: sharpen our ICP across food & beverage, beauty & cosmetics, fragrance and specialty chemicals, pressure-test pricing, and help decide which industries we open next.
- Fundraising: own the data room, the financial model and the KPIs behind our next round.
- Customers: sit in deep-dives with R&D;, regulatory and lab teams, help scope pilots, and close the loop between what we ship and what gets contracted.
- Hiring: build the pipeline for our next hires across engineering, science and go-to-market, from sourcing to offer.
- GTM: help the team
- Internal operations: finance, legal, cap table and the automation we build for ourselves.

What we look for

- We are open on background. The people who do well in this kind of role have founded a company (whether or not it worked), worked in venture capital, run operations at a fast-growing startup, or spent a few years at a top consulting firm. What they share is a habit of owning outcomes, not tasks.
- You want to build a company of your own one day, and you want to see one being built from the inside first. This is the role for that.




- Comfortable with numbers and with technical material. You can follow a formulation matrix or a chromatogram well enough to turn it into a plan. A technical or scientific degree helps but is not required.
- High agency: you ship, you decide with incomplete information, and you don't wait to be asked.
- Comfortable facing customers and walking into labs and factories. The role is operational, not deck-driven.

Nice to have

- Having raised money, or having sat on the investor side of the table.
- Prior exposure to food & beverage, beauty & cosmetics, fragrance, specialty chemicals or industrial manufacturing, as a client, intern, advisor or operator.

Hiring process

3. A technical interview with Marc (CTO), around one hour.
4. Two days working on-site with us at the office in Barcelona, on a real Mafer problem: you see how we work and we see how you work.
5. We move fast: we aim to decide within three days of the last conversation.
