About us

ClearSky is an environmental credits company with an office in Madrid and activity across Spain. We develop carbon absorption projects registered with MITECO, leasing, buying or partnering with landowners and communities to convert unproductive land into forest.

We are now opening a second business line in the Energy Savings Certificates market and are structuring our first energy efficiency projects. We develop and finance these projects with our own capital, alongside execution partners, and monetize the resulting certificates. This is primarily an investment model.

The role A commercial position with full responsibility for this business line in Spain: originating the projects, closing them, and carrying them through to certification and the sale of the savings. It reports directly to the group CEO, with autonomy over target sectors, the partner network and the criteria by which projects are accepted.

The priority is the primary market: originating, structuring and financing projects at client sites. The role also covers the intermediation of certificates in the secondary market, between delegated and obligated parties.

Duties

Originate projects: identify savings opportunities at client sites, prepare the preliminary technical and economic feasibility, and present and negotiate the proposal through to signature.

Determine the certification route for each project, whether by standardised savings ficha or proyecto singular, and manage the file through verification by an ENAC-accredited body and submission to the Sistema CAE.

Select and manage the network of execution partners: engineering firms, energy service companies and installers.

Coordinate execution partners and buyers across the life of each project, from signature through to certificate issuance and sale, holding timelines, documentation quality and collections.

Assess each project against the company's investment criteria and put the recommendation to management.

Develop the economic model and the commercial and contractual documentation for each target sector.

Manage relationships with obligated and delegated parties,



both for the sale of the company's own certificates and for secondary market intermediation.

Report weekly on commercial activity and the development of the project portfolio.

Essential requirements

Five years or more in Spanish energy efficiency, in energy service companies, engineering, energy consultancy, or CAE origination and trading.

A genuinely commercial profile. This is a business development and closing role. Most of the time goes on opening clients and partners and closing transactions, while overseeing the technical management of the project.

An established network among engineering firms, energy service companies, installers or obligated and delegated parties within the Sistema CAE.

A demonstrable commercial origination record, with transactions carried from first contact through to signature.

Practical knowledge of the Sistema CAE (Royal Decree 36/2023): obligated and delegated parties, standardised savings fichas, proyecto singular, verification and ENAC.

The ability to analyse an energy audit prepared under Royal Decree 56/2016 and build an investment case from it.

Command of payback period, IRR, NPV and savings-share structures.

Native or bilingual Castilian and professional English.

Residence in Madrid or willingness to relocate, and availability to travel to projects.

Desirable

Energy service contracts and EPC models.

Processing proyectos singulares through the Sistema CAE.

MITECO projects or voluntary carbon markets.

Three interviews and a short work sample on a real asset, subject to a confidentiality agreement.

Abrimos ahora una segunda línea de negocio en el mercado de Certificados de Ahorro Energético y estamos estructurando nuestros primeros proyectos de eficiencia energética: los desarrollamos y financiamos con capital propio, junto a socios de ejecución, y monetizamos los certificados resultantes.

Buscamos un/a Director/a de Eficiencia Energética que asuma la responsabilidad íntegra de esta línea en España, con reporte directo al CEO del grupo.

Es un puesto comercial: originación, negociación y cierre de proyectos de mercado primario; determinación de la ruta de certificación y gestión del expediente hasta la verificación ENAC; selección y coordinación de la red de ingenierías y ESCOs y de los compradores; y relación con sujetos obligados y delegados, incluida la intermediación en el mercado secundario.

Requisitos: cinco años o más en eficiencia energética en España, perfil netamente comercial, red de contactos propia en el sector, trayectoria demostrable de originación comercial, conocimiento práctico del Sistema CAE (Real Decreto 36/2023), capacidad de análisis de auditorías energéticas y manejo de los conceptos financieros de evaluación de proyectos. Castellano nativo o bilingüe e inglés competente. Residencia en Madrid y disponibilidad para viajar.

Se ofrece contrato indefinido, retribución fija de 60.000 a 70.000 € brutos anuales según experiencia más variable anual, y gastos de viaje cubiertos.
