We are the European Trade Finance Service Center, part of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking. Our 115‑person team spans 16 nationalities in Spain, delivering domestic and international guarantees, syndicated, green and documentary products for corporations and institutions.

MISSION

Manage direct relationships with CIB clients to meet or exceed their needs, providing technical expertise on Standby LCs, Commercial LCs, and documentary collections. The role is responsible for ensuring all transactions are accurately processed and controlled, while also assisting with invoicing and fee management when required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Client and Front Office Support: Proactively meet client needs and provide technical assistance to both clients/corporate groups and the Front Office regarding the practices of standby LCs, commercial LCs, and documentary collections.
- Transaction Processing and Instruction: Instruct the Centralised Back-Office in India to process standby LCs, commercial LCs, and documentary collections, ensuring all deals are booked and processed properly.
- Compliance and Approval Verification: Verify that all necessary approvals from Credit Risk, Compliance, and Legal are obtained before proceeding with client requests.
- Standardization and Quality Control: Coordinate with the Back-Office to ensure all letter of credit transactions conform to client instructions, UCP Publication 600/ISP98, and the Bank’s credit and compliance procedures.
- Risk Management and Reporting: Ensure the timely processing of sensitive transactions and report any unusual or intricate transactions to management for necessary review, discussion, or approval.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Business school,



University Graduate, or equivalent Professional qualification
- CDCS ICC Certification would be a plus
- Proven experience in Documents Checking
- 10 years of experience in a similar position

- C1- English mandatory
