We are the European Trade Finance Service Center, part of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking. Our 115‑person team spans 16 nationalities in Spain, delivering domestic and international guarantees, syndicated, green and documentary products for corporations and institutions.

MISSION

Comprehensive management of the guarantee lifecycle (both international and domestic), focusing on direct CIB client relationship management, technical support, processing and validation of guarantee wordings, monitoring expiries, and assisting with invoicing and fees.

The position will be located in the Madrid-based Trade Finance Service Centre.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Client and Front Office Support: Proactively meet client needs and provide technical assistance on International and Domestic Guarantees to clients, corporate groups, and the Front Office to ensure deals are properly booked and processed.
- Guarantee Processing and Documentation: Process guarantees for clients, branches, and correspondents while reviewing and managing non-standard wordings, including negotiating changes with overseas branches, clients, and Global Trade Service (GTS).
- Compliance and Risk Verification: Ensure all client requests proceed only after verifying necessary approvals from Credit Risk, Compliance, and Legal, while performing controls to maintain adherence to internal and regulatory regulations.
- Transaction Management and Accuracy: Register all transactions within banking tools with high accuracy and maintain comprehensive guarantee records.
- Lifecycle Monitoring and Coordination: Coordinate with Fees & Administration Officers to monitor guarantee expiries, checking terms and liaising with clients, branches, or correspondents to ensure a smooth release of obligations.

TECHNICAL SKILLS





- Good knowledge of Guarantees products and specific regulation (URDG, ISP, UCP…)
- Knowledge of general accounting rules, mastering specific accounting rules for guarantees
- Systems and processes: Word/Excel, SWIFT.
- CSDG ICC Certification a plus
- Experience of 10 years in a similar position working in Operations (Back-Office background)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

- C1- English mandatory
- C1- Spanish, French, German, Dutch is a must
