Role Description The Information Technology Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to end users and maintaining IT equipment and systems on-site in Cadiz. Typical duties include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computers and peripherals, and ensuring network connectivity and system performance. The technician will respond to service requests, document incidents and resolutions, and escalate complex issues when needed.
This role also involves assisting with user onboarding, conducting basic user training on systems and applications, and supporting routine maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and security checks. The position requires regular interaction with internal stakeholders to ensure a positive and efficient technology experience.
REQUIREMENT:
Valid Occupational Health and Safety training certificate is required.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software,
and network issues.
- Candidates should possess solid Information Technology knowledge, including basic networking, operating systems, and common business applications.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to support end users, manage requests, and communicate solutions clearly.
- Candidates should possess Training abilities to guide users on system use, basic best practices, and new tools or processes.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems, understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and experience with hardware setup and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment are important.
- A relevant technical certification or diploma in IT, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
