IT Operations Engineer – SRE / DBA

About the Roles

Renrui HR is supporting an international technology client in hiring two IT Operations professionals for its Madrid team:

- Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
- Database Administrator / Database Operations Engineer (DBA)

Both positions will support overseas production systems and work closely with technical teams in China. Candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, fluent Mandarin Chinese and valid authorization to work in Spain. Position 1: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end operation and maintenance of overseas public cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, containers, storage, networks, databases and middleware.
- Operate and maintain Kubernetes-based, containerized and cloud-native production environments.
- Design, implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, delivery and standardized production releases.
- Build and maintain monitoring and observability systems using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and troubleshoot production incidents, resource bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Manage the deployment and production release of overseas business applications.
- Collaborate with technical teams in China to implement unified infrastructure and application-management standards.
- Improve system availability, resource utilization, operational efficiency and cloud cost effectiveness.
- Ensure infrastructure operations comply with applicable European data-protection requirements, including GDPR.

SRE Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience in SRE,



DevOps, cloud operations, platform engineering or infrastructure operations.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP and common networking principles.
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure and cloud-native applications.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows; ArgoCD experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Nginx, APISIX, Envoy or other gateway technologies.
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, RocketMQ or similar messaging systems.
- Ability to use Python or Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
- Strong production troubleshooting and incident-management capabilities.

Position 2: Database Administrator / Database Operations Engineer (DBA)

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operation, maintenance and technical governance of overseas databases, cache systems and middleware platforms.
- Monitor database availability, capacity and performance and resolve production incidents and performance issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support troubleshooting of database, middleware and cloud-resource problems.
- Support database standardization, migration, production deployment and release activities.




- Work with technical teams in China to implement unified database and middleware-management standards.
- Support overseas cloud-native and containerized applications.
- Improve database-resource utilization, operational stability and service efficiency.
- Ensure database operations comply with European data-protection requirements, including GDPR.

DBA Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience in database administration, database operations, middleware operations or production support.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP and general network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on administration experience with at least one relational database, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience operating at least one cache technology, such as Redis or Memcached.
- Experience with database monitoring, performance troubleshooting, migration and production support.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana or similar monitoring platforms.
- Knowledge of database high availability, backup, recovery and data-protection practices is preferred.
- Understanding of large language models or Agent development frameworks is a plus.

Shared Requirements
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams in China.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Spanish language ability is an advantage.
- Currently based in Madrid or able to work on-site in Madrid.
- Valid authorization to work in Spain is required.
- No visa sponsorship or relocation support is available.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
