Interim Senior Accountant – Madrid/Hybrid

3–4 Months Immediate Start

I’m supporting an international organisation with an urgent requirement for an Interim Senior Accountant to support its finance operations in Madrid during a period of transition.

This is a hands-on assignment for someone who can get up to speed quickly, take ownership and operate independently with minimal onboarding.

The assignment will cover

Month-end close and reporting across multiple Spanish entities/properties

US GAAP and Spanish/local GAAP reporting

Balance sheet ownership, VAT, fixed assets, intercompany, AP/AR and cash

SOX controls, statutory compliance and audit support

Working closely with FP&A; to explain actuals and key movements

Supporting an Assistant Accountant and providing continuity across the finance function

What we’re looking for

Strong accounting experience within an international environment

Knowledge of Spanish GAAP and US GAAP





Experience within a SOX-controlled environment

Strong Excel and ERP systems experience

Spanish language skills are highly desirable
