JOB TITLE : Extra Curricular Activities (EAC) Monitors Basketball & Football
JOB PURPOSE : To deliver engaging, safe, and age-appropriate extracurricular basketball / football sessions that promote students’ physical development, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport, while contributing to the wider extracurricular program of the school.

Core Requirements of the Post
Job Overview
We are seeking two motivated and enthusiastic monitors, one for Basketball and one for Football, to lead extracurricular basketball & football activities for students of different ages and abilities. The successful candidates will foster a positive and inclusive environment, encourage participation, skill development, and teamwork while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
Responsibilities:
- Session Planning and Delivery:
- Plan and deliver structured basketball training sessions adapted to students’ age and skill levels.
- Teach fundamental basketball techniques, rules, and strategies in an engaging and progressive way.
- Encourage student participation, teamwork,
discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Monitor individual progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure a safe training environment at all times, following school safeguarding and health & safety policies.
- Supervise students before, during, and after sessions.
- Prepare students for friendly matches, tournaments, or school competitions.
- Promote a positive competitive spirit aligned with school values.
- Maintain attendance records and communicate regularly with the ECA Head.
- Inform relevant staff of any concerns regarding student behaviour or wellbeing.
- Ensure proper use, organisation, and care of sports equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other ECA monitors and PE staff to support the school’s extracurricular programme.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching basketball / football or working in a sports-related environment (required).
- Relevant sports coaching qualification (desirable).
- Experience working with children or adolescents (preferred).
- Good communication skills in English and/or Spanish (Catalan is a plus).
- Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Strong sense of responsibility, organisation, and teamwork.
- Passion for sport, education, and youth development.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: 160.00€ - 450.00€ per month
Expected hours: 2.0 – 5.0 per week
