This program is designed for students who will enter their final year of university after the internship and expect to complete their studies in summer 2028. With a high level of English and a keen interest in integral financial markets, you will gain hands-on professional experience in an international and fast-paced environment. The full-time internship will run from June or July to August or September 2027, depending on the country.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
As part of Santander Future Talents: Santander CIB Summer Internship Program Europe - Global Markets - Quants, you will contribute to Global Markets activities and work alongside experienced professionals across Europe. Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of quantitative models and analytical tools used in trading and risk management.
- Contribute to improvements in pricing libraries and to the development of models for complex financial products.
- Work alongside Traders and Structurers to understand how quantitative models respond to business needs.
- Apply programming, mathematics, statistics and analytical skills to real market challenges.
- Assist with model testing, documentation and monitoring activities.

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for success in this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- University degree: Currently completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline, with expected graduation in summer 2028.
- English level: High proficiency in English. Knowledge of another language would be an advantage.
- Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities; programming knowledge, preferably in Python, C++, Java or a similar language; attention to detail; structured problem-solving; and a collaborative mindset.
- Interest:
A strong interest in quantitative finance, derivatives pricing, model development, financial markets and technology.
