Experteer Overview
In this role you will design, implement, and maintain firmware for embedded Novanta products to enable precise performance in mission-critical applications. You’ll collaborate with hardware engineers to deliver robust firmware and drive product features from concept to validation. The role blends development with documentation and continuous integration work, contributing to product readiness and long-term quality. You will work in a cross-functional team, shaping how embedded software powers advanced healthcare and manufacturing solutions.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Develop and maintain firmware for Novanta products
• Implement new features, including feedback interfaces, communication protocols, and motion control algorithms
• Contribute to development of new products
• Create and maintain CI/CD libraries
• Review and improve external documentation (manuals, datasheets)




• Improve internal documentation (architecture, CI/CD, design)

Responsabilidades
• MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; PhD also acceptable
• Minimum 4 years of experience
• Proficiency in C, including resource-constrained embedded environments
• Strong software fundamentals (design and maintainability)
• Experience in bare-metal microprocessor development with real-time constraints
• Experience with MCU peripherals: I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, UART, GPIO
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and application notes
• Experience with laboratory instruments and version control software
• Fluent in English and Spanish
