As Senior Regional Environmental Manager-EMEA, you will lead AWS’s environmental program across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, ensuring regulatory compliance and high environmental performance for data center operations. You will guide a regional team of Environmental Managers and Engineers, shaping strategy and delivering permit-led project execution. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on due diligence, permitting, and compliance across the full lifecycle of data center development.

You will partner with cross-functional teams and regulators to advance AWS’s environmental goals in a fast-paced, global context.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Directly manage and develop Regional Environmental Managers and Engineers across the EMEA region
- Set and execute regional environmental strategy for infrastructure development and operational compliance
- Oversee end-to-end environmental lifecycle of data center sites (selection, due diligence, permitting, construction, operations, decommissioning)
- Lead environmental due diligence activities including Phase I/II ESAs and brownfield assessments
- Develop site-specific permitting and management strategies; coordinate regulatory interactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize site masterplans with environmental considerations




- Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning for siting and development
- Drive regional and global environmental standards, reporting, and performance metrics
- Engage external stakeholders and regulators to advance environmental regulatory frameworks
- Provide coaching and performance management to a distributed regional team
- Deliver complex projects with strong cross-functional communication and timelines

Responsabilidades

- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline
- 15+ years of multi-media environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance experience for existing sites and new development
- 10+ years delivering Phase xugodme I/II ESAs, site investigations, and brownfield development in EMEA
- 7+ years people management experience leading geographically distributed teams
- Experience developing programmatic approaches to manage environmental risks and contaminated site portfolios
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley controls for remedial activities with construction site compliance experience
- Proven track record delivering high-priority projects with tight timelines and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to partner cross-functionally to implement multi-year environmental programs
- Strong communication with partner teams, consultants, counsel, and regulators
