About the Job

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to help strengthen the quality, reliability, and testability of our software products. This role goes beyond traditional test automation by requiring strong software development and coding capabilities. You will design and build test frameworks, tools, and quality infrastructure, work closely with engineers throughout the development lifecycle, and help improve how quality is built into our products and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks, tools, and supporting infrastructure.
- Write production-quality test code to validate application functionality, integrations, APIs, and critical user journeys.
- Partner with software engineers to improve testability, identify quality risks early, and define effective testing strategies.
- Develop automated tests that support continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
- Investigate complex defects, analyze root causes, and work with engineering teams to improve product reliability.
- Contribute to code reviews and engineering discussions related to testing architecture, automation,



and software quality.
- Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, maintainability, and reliability across the development lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to build internal tools or reusable technical solutions that improve testing and engineering productivity.
- Use quality and testing data to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to development and release processes.

Requirements

- Strong software development and coding skills, with the ability to design, implement, debug, and maintain reliable test software and engineering tools.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, object-oriented or modular design, and maintainable code practices.
- Hands-on experience developing automated tests, test frameworks, or quality engineering tools.
- Experience testing APIs, services, web or application functionality, and system integrations.
- Ability to read and understand application code and collaborate effectively with software engineers on technical issues.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, continuous integration, and automated testing practices.
- Ability to balance product quality, engineering efficiency, and delivery needs in a collaborative development environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
