We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer – Testing Platform to join an international banking project with Julius Baer, one of the world's leading Swiss private banking groups.

? About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join Julius Baer's Testing Platform product team and contribute to the evolution of a global automation testing platform.

You will work in an Agile Release Train, helping application delivery teams accelerate their journey from idea to production by providing a secure, scalable, and developer-friendly testing platform.

The role combines software engineering, platform engineering, test automation, and CI/CD, with a strong focus on building self-service capabilities and promoting a "testing-as-code" approach.

? Main responsibilities

? Testing Platform Engineering

? Own and continuously improve the bank's general automation testing platform as part of a dedicated product team.

? Manage the platform lifecycle from design and development through deployment and production.

? Build scalable and reliable platform capabilities that enable application teams to automate their testing processes.

? Drive the adoption of testing-as-code through an API-first platform approach.

⚙️ Automation & CI/CD





? Integrate testing solutions with CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.

? Build strong integrations with GitLab and other engineering tools.

? Enable automated test execution and reporting throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

? Integrate automated test results with ticketing and project management platforms such as Jira.

? Develop self-service capabilities for test data generation and provisioning.

? Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

? Work closely with application teams to understand their needs and collect feedback.

? Continuously improve the platform offering based on user requirements and technical feedback.

? Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

? Contribute to Agile ceremonies, planning, technical discussions, and product roadmap activities.

? Your profile

✔ Degree or equivalent background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

✔ Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and engineering tools.

✔ Experience in functional, performance, integration, or end-to-end testing.

✔ Knowledge of testing tools such as k6, Playwright, Selenium, or similar technologies.

✔ Experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer or Platform Engineer.





✔ Strong programming experience with Java and/or TypeScript.

✔ Experience integrating testing solutions into CI/CD environments, particularly GitLab.

✔ Experience integrating automated test reporting with tools such as Jira.

✔ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

✔ Good communication, planning, and teamwork skills.

✔ Comfortable working in an Agile environment and motivated by ambitious technical challenges.
