Experteer Overview
As a Field Service Engineer in Ophthalmology, you will deliver on-site technical service for ophthalmic surgical equipment across Barcelona. You will ensure equipment readiness in operating rooms, support surgeons and staff, and drive service revenue through contracts and upgrades. You will collaborate with Sales, Equipment Management, and Clinical teams while traveling within the EMEA region as needed. Your work shapes safer, more efficient ophthalmic procedures and ongoing device performance.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Provide on-site technical support for ophthalmic surgical systems in hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory centers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, troubleshooting, and repairs following regulatory and policy requirements.
• Install, commission, and validate ophthalmic equipment in operating rooms.
• Implement upgrades and modifications across the ophthalmic installed base.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify technical risks affecting surgeries.
• Support surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to ensure equipment readiness for procedures.




• Serve as the technical point of contact for key ophthalmology accounts in the assigned territory.
• Handle critical customer situations within regulatory guidelines and contribute to continuous product improvement.
• Manage spare parts inventory and tool/test equipment according to internal standards.
• Support promotion of service contracts, packages, and upgrades in collaboration with Sales and Equipment Management.

Responsabilidades
• Field service experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience with ophthalmic, surgical, or OR-based medical equipment is highly valued.
• Hospital operating room experience is desirable.
• Fluency in local language and professional level of English.
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to work autonomously in clinical environments.
• Approximately 70% travel within the assigned territory; occasional short-notice travel within EMEA.
• Based in Barcelona or the Catalonia area.
