Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead reliability initiatives for critical grid automation embedded and software products, spanning protection relays, control devices, and digital substations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to embed design-for-reliability and ensure regulatory compliance while improving field performance and uptime. You’ll tackle reliability modeling, testing, and data-driven improvements across lifecycle stages for utility-scale Tu0026amp;D solutions. This is a chance to shape grid resilience and support modernization efforts in collaboration with utilities.

Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Perform reliability modeling and statistical analysis to predict field performance and guide design decisions
• Develop and execute reliability test plans (HIL, environmental, stress) for hardware and software
• Lead FMEA, FMECA, and RCA across embedded systems and communication layers
• Collaborate with design, systems, and software teams to embed Design for Reliability from concept to deployment




• Analyze field data from deployed devices to identify systemic issues and prescribe corrective actions
• Support grid asset performance programs and modernization initiatives (IEC 61850, virtualization, diagnostics)
• Develop and maintain reliability KPIs (MTBF, FIT rate, availability) and integrate into development/quality programs
• Identify and drive predictive and condition-based maintenance using remote diagnostics, SCADA, and sensor data
• Advise on reliability priorities with Innovation Office and Applications teams to influence standards and strategy
• Stay current on regulatory requirements (NERC, IEEE, IEC) impacting asset reliability and cybersecurity
• Provide coaching and guidance on reliability practices to internal teams and external stakeholders

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline
• Extensive experience in reliability, systems, or product engineering in the energy or utility sector
